Main trunks are about 340 feet total across two corridors, then we’ve got branches to about 22 VAV boxes and all the flex drops from there, probably close to 800 feet of total duct when it’s all said and done not counting the return side which we haven’t even started yet.

Sealing as we go, every joint gets mastic and tape before we move to the next section, coming back later to seal an entire run that’s already up near the ceiling is miserable and you always miss spots when you’re reaching overhead for 8 hours.

We use QuickBooks payments. Since all of our invoices are already in QuickBooks, it’s just easier to keep everything together.

People underestimate how sensitive these systems are to return air. Block one return and suddenly the blower’s working harder, coil temps shift, and the homeowner thinks the system is failing. Then you’re the bad guy until you show them what’s actually happening.

This usually happens when the system itself is fine but the way air is being moved or restricted wasn’t thought through properly. You don’t see it until you open things up and start tracing paths. From the outside it looks normal, but inside it’s fighting itself.
