not me obviously 😂 Guy spent two hours on a no-heat call in January. Furnace board, pressure switch, limit switch, all checked out. Turned out the gas valve was off. Homeowner had turned it off themselves and forgotten.

Seen techs top off the same unit three summers in a row. Same customer. Same tech. Nobody ever looked for the leak. Unit eventually locked out on low pressure mid-August. Customer furious. Shocking outcome.

Spent a full afternoon on a no-heat complaint. Everything checked out. Came back next morning and watched the customer bump the thermostat wire with their elbow reaching for the light switch. Bare conductor touching the wall stud. Mystery solved.

Cooling looks fine on paper, but the space starts feeling sticky after a few hours.
Feels like latent control is getting lost somewhere – either airflow, coil performance, or reheat logic interfering.

Overcharge can definitely cause this – I’ve seen similar symptoms when systems were slightly overfilled.

I’ve tried this on a small single-phase compressor using a rotary phase converter. It worked for a while, but I noticed the motor running hotter than usual. Over long periods, I think it could reduce its lifespan. Make sure you monitor temperature and current draw closely.
