Just wrapped up an install for a walk-in cooler mechanical closet. We kept all piping and control wiring on one side, left a clean 36 service aisle, and mounted the control board at eye level. Easy to service, no clutter, everything logical.

If both Nest and Ecobee are having issues, I’d definitely suspect transformer size. 20-30VA might not cut it if you’ve got multiple zones or a humidifier.
