Commissioning expectations were the biggest adjustment for me. Residential you charge it up, check delta T, done. Commercial they want TAB reports, written documentation, controls verified, sequence of operations confirmed. First time a GC handed me a commissioning checklist I had no idea what half of it meant.

If amps are wandering without a load change, I’d be looking at voltage stability first. Seen weak disconnects and backstabbed breakers cause that.

Could also be cavitation or partial impeller damage. Even small wear can cause fluctuating flow.
