Check the compressor carefully before you just swap the contactor and call it done. Compressor running continuously through cold ambient with no load cycling can cause liquid slugging and bearing wear.

Done thousands of repairs. Purged on new installs, used judgment on repairs. Never had a callback I could trace to oxidation from a short braze on an existing system.

No sleeve, no proper penetration seal. That’s a problem.

Vacuum time alone doesn’t mean much if you’re not watching decay. Long pull could be leaks, moisture, or just bad hoses.

If speed and amps are flat but torque jumps, I’d look at the torque calc itself. Some drives get noisy with feedback.

Noticed the evaporator coil icing up on a commercial AC. Airflow looks fine, refrigerant charge seems correct, but the coil keeps freezing intermittently. Could this be a TXV issue, low load, or hidden restriction?
