4 years with no cleaning is honestly not even that long. I’ve seen worse at 2 years in humid climates. These things are mold factories.

I changed the filter. Cleaned both coils. Added about 3lbs and it’s running 128 over 278 now with about 12 degrees superheat. Letting it run overnight and going back in the morning. Thanks for the help minus the attitude from some of you.

2019 Bryant 2-ton R410A heat pump. Customer said the compressor made a terrible noise and then quit going. I stock heavier in summer for AC parts and lighter on furnace parts, then flip it in fall. Seasonal stocking instead of carrying everything year round.

I would not put money into advertising. Been in business 7 years and never spent a dime on it. First year I offered referral discounts. Someone calls and says a neighbor sent them, next time that neighbor has a call I give them 10 to 15 percent off. Honest question for the business owners in here.
Do you actually take days off or do you just call them days off and then work anyway?
I told my wife I was taking Sunday off. Answered 4 customer calls, quoted a job by email, and ordered parts before noon. I don’t know if I have a business or a job that follows me everywhere.

I had one where the guy pulled all the thermostat wires out and just twisted random ones together… said he was ‘testing it.

Swapped a contactor today that looked fine at a glance, but under load it was dropping voltage across the contacts. Getting about 240V in, but only around 205–210V out to the compressor. Compressor was running hot and pulling higher amps than expected. Easy to miss if you don’t check it under load.

dampers “look” like they’re following but something’s way off.
not sure if it’s a bad sensor spot or just the system hunting.
