At 30°F with 410A, that suction looks about right, but if defrost isn’t clearing the coil I’d start with the sensor contact. Seen them zip-tied loose more than once.

Surging at part load is usually bad IGV/VFD coordination. One reacts faster than the other and the compressor can’t stabilize.

You can swap fan leads temporarily to see if the same one delays. That’ll tell you if it’s motor or control side.

Economizer’s been getting stuck midway between open and close.
Actuator checks out fine during testing, but in normal operation, it just hangs halfway.
No alarms showing on the controller, which makes it harder to track.
Looks like either the position feedback or logic is acting up today.

I usually recommend a mix of mechanical and natural ventilation – windows plus exhaust fans.

Phase converters can work, but it depends on the type. Static converters give limited starting torque, so some compressors may not start at all. Rotary or digital converters are better for continuous operation.

If it’s only tripping during hot weather, it might be thermal overload on the control board or sensors getting heat-soaked. Try monitoring board temp during shutdowns.
